Probate Court

Jackson County Probate Court is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

For weapons carry licenses: 8:00 a.m-11:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m-3:30 p.m.

For marriage licenses: 8:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.

For vital records: 8:00 a.m-4:30 p.m.

We are located on the first floor of the Jackson County Courthouse, 5000 Jackson Parkway, Suite 140, Jefferson, GA 30549.

We are currently experiencing extended delays with mail delivery. Please allow 30 days to receive items mailed from this office. If you do not receive your items within this time frame, please contact Probate Court immediately. If you are in a hurry to receive items, you are encouraged to return to the office for pick up rather than depending on the USPS.
